The final race of "ETU TNatura Cross Triathlon European Cup" will take place in Slovenia at Pokljuka and Bohinj, in a scenario of immense natural beauty.
Pokljuka, a forest karst plateau in the heart of Triglav National Park is the ideal base to perform a captivating race, surrounded by beautiful and high mountains which arouse a strong energy to compete in a course full of challenges.
In this occasion the race will be an exciting moment, as the Elites and Age Groupers challenge each other in order to win the "ETU TNatura Cross Triathlon European Cup"!
Lake Bohinj, where the swim leg of the race will be held, is the largest natural lake in Slovenia. Nested in the heart of the Julian Alps, this jewel is a precious natural resource and at the same time offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities. Lake Bohinj is perfect for water activities all year round – from swimming, boat riding, wind surfing, kayaking or canoeing, fishing and diving in warmer months, to (sometimes) even ice skating in winter. Visitors can also take a wonderful tourist boat ride or simply go for a relaxing walk along the shore.
Located some 15 kilometres from Bled and Bohinj, Pokljuka is the plateau about 20 kilometres long, with an elevation of between 1,100 and 1,400 metres. Pokljuka is 97% covered by coniferous forests and a natural phenomenon, thanks to the wetland areas, unusual at such high elevations. The Pokljuka plateau offers numerous sports opportunities. The plateau represents a perfect starting point for mountaineering, whilst the cyclists enjoy its beautiful nature, low motor vehicle transport volume and somewhat more demanding nearby ascents. During the winter season it turns into a very popular cross-country skiing destination which also hosts international biathlon competitions.

SWIM: 1,5 km (two laps of 750 m)
The race starts from the beach of Lake Bohinj.
Slovenia’s largest lake is a picture of peace and serenity. With its crystal clear water, brooding and mystical feels are encouraged by the steep mountain faces that rise out of the of the lake on the northern side, with mountain peaks also dominating the background to the west and south.
BIKE: 22 km (4 laps of 5,5 km, with more than 500 m of climbing)
The bike course is 4 laps 5,5km long course with a single steep climb. It is an attractive course on mostly gravel roads, combining riding on the coast of Lake Bohinj, through the small village called Stara Fužina and over the historically known Devil’s bridge.
RUN: 7,2 km (6 laps of 1,2 km)
The run lap is short but dynamic!
It will take you near the coast of Lake Bohinj, on gravel single path over a short hill and back to the transition area. There are 4 laps to complete, but such a format allows lots of loud fan support!
